True JiuJitsu Academy

Coach Shane is legit. I trained under him a few years ago, and now both my son (12) and daughter (10) are training with him. He builds their confidence by ensuring there is daily sparring, and ensuring the higher belts not only get their reps against each other, but can pair off with lower levels to help them improve their skills. Coach is all about respect, practice, and reps. He breaks down the moves step by step, with repeated repetitions and understanding checks before pairing you off for practice, guiding you the whole way, ensuring a safe and beneficial experience. Editing a couple years later... Still with True Jiu Jitsu Academy and my son, now 16 is a green belt. Coach Shane is patient and compassionate with the kids, while at the same time encouraging real time experience after practice with required rolls against teammates, and with open mats throughout the week and weekend. Coach Shane and all the other higher belts are always ready and willing to spar against the kids and lower belt ranks, to help pay it forward and get them more experience.
